Police officers in St. Petersburg severely detained the deputy of the Avtovo municipality from the Just Russia party, Ilya Shmakov. He, along with candidates and election observers for the municipality Lake Dolgoye, occupied the premises of the commission with a demand to show whether the packages with ballots and seals were intact. Shmakov was taken to the 86th police department of St. Petersburg. Throughout the day, he and about ten other people remained in the commission building and demanded that the chairman of the commission, Galina Svetlova, open the room where the ballots were stored.
In the evening, Svetlova entered the building of the commission, accompanied by about 10 police officers, and said that the commission had finished working and everyone needed to leave the premises.
