Roskomnadzor demanded to remove the instruction “How to bypass site blocking” from the website of the human rights project “Team 29”, based on the decision of the Saratov court two years ago. About this writes the publication "Mediazona" with reference to human rights activists.
In November 2017, the Kirovskiy District Court of Saratov recognized the instruction on bypassing blocking on the Internet from the Team 29 website as prohibited for distribution on the territory of the Russian Federation. The justification for the decision was that with its help, users can access a religious brochure that had previously been recognized as extremist. Two years later, Roskomnadzor sent Team 29 a notice about the possible blocking of their website if the instructions were not removed.
Roskomnadzor reminded us of the need to keep the materials up to date. Let's release a new one - and let them, if they want, ban it again for two years. Well, we see no point in suing Roskomnadzor - we can direct these resources to much more important matters,
— commented Ivan Pavlov, Team 29 project manager.
At the moment, the page “Teams” indicated in the decision of the Saratov court has been deleted.
