Primorye: The victims of the flood did not pay compensation
The authorities of Primorye have not yet begun the payment of compensation to residents of four regions of the region affected by floods. This information was confirmed by the regional governor Oleg Kozhemyako at a meeting of the regional emergency commission. The money has not yet been received by residents of the Khasan, Pozharsky, Border and Nadezhdinsky districts.
According to officials, emergency work has already been completed in areas affected by floods and infrastructure and roads are restored. However, people did not receive the money for the flood caused by the flood. So far, only 94 residents of Vladivostok were paid compensation. They were given 10 thousand rubles for a lost crop. At the same time, the city hall noted that these are funds from the city budget. Documents for receiving financing from the regional budget are only prepared. After that, residents, whose property was damaged from the flood, will be able to get from 50 to 100 thousand rubles.
In the summer of 2019, abundant rains caused a powerful flood in the Amur and Jewish Autonomous Regions, Primorsky and Khabarovsk Territories. In the flood zone there were over 100 settlements, thousands of people lost their harvest or ended up in flooded houses. Due to rain, the water level in the rivers has increased. The authorities decided to introduce an emergency regime that is still valid. In the flood zone there were 15 municipal districts, 43 settlements, where more than 10 thousand people live. Roads, bridges were damaged, energy supply was broken.
