A single day of protest. Russia against a landfill in Shies

On September 22, in different cities of Russia there will be protests against the construction of the garbage training ground at the ShiES station in the Arkhangelsk region. Eco -activists created a "protest card" at which you can see in which cities the shares are held. In the list - more than 30 settlements.

Most of the protest points on the map are in the Arkhangelsk region. In the northwestern part of the country, stocks will also be held in the Komi Republic, in the Vologda region, in Veliky Novgorod and St. Petersburg. All of them are agreed with the authorities.

Not all shares will be held in places planned by the organizers. In St. Petersburg, activists submitted an application to Lenin Square, but the place was occupied. The organizers submitted a new application for 6 sites - a refusal everywhere. As a result, the environmental rally will be held in a specific park.

In Syktyvkar, the local administration organized a parade of communal equipment near the ecological picket. At the same time, the authorities, coordinating the action, limited the number of participants up to 40 people. Other organizers of protest events faced such difficulties.

At the ShIS station, the authorities plan to build a garbage training ground where waste from Moscow will be transferred. Residents of Komi, Arkhangelsk region and environmental activists throughout the country are against construction. The rallies against construction began in August 2018 and are still ongoing .
