Protest shares against the construction of the garbage training ground at ShiES station, on the border of the Arkhangelsk region and the Komi Republic, took place on September 22 in almost 30 settlements of Russia. On the eve of the eco -protest rally took place in Moscow in Sokolniki Park.

However, its participants immediately put forward categorical requirements: on the termination of all administrative and criminal cases against eco -activists, on the closure of the Ecotechnopark project ShiES and the reclamation of the cut -down area of the forest, as well as on the resignation of the Governor of the Arkhangelsk Region Igor Orlov and the dissolution of the regional government.

Then it was decided to organize an indefinite protest campaign in order to show our authorities that we are unhappy. We still stand there: seven days a week, from morning to evening, in any weather. We are standing that the authorities saw that, despite all the promises of the freezing of construction, the problem of Shies has not disappeared anywhere.

According to the deputy of the Arkhangelsk Regional Assembly of Deputies (Fair Russia faction) Irina Chirkova , she and her one -partyists are ready to initiate the impeachment of the Governor of the Arkhangelsk Region Igor Orlov, if the federal center does not make such a decision in the near future.

However, as the organizers said at the end of the rally, this protest will become the last “under the law” if the authorities do not listen to the requirements of the residents of the region:

- Why take resolutions if we have already recorded numerous appeals? Does it make sense to send written requirements if everything is already said? We have already tried everything: we collected signatures, received resolutions, recorded video features. If the ShIS eco -tech project is not closed, if our requirements are ignored, then this is the last rally that we conduct within the framework of the law.

In total, on a single day of protest, rallies took place in 14 settlements of the Arkhangelsk region, including Arkhangelsk, Kargopol, Konosha, Koryazhma, Kotlas, Plesetsk, Severodvinsk.

Severodvinsk: Against Orlov, Polygon and Testing in Nyonoks

During the rally, the organizers recalled the results of a recent survey of residents of the Arkhangelsk region, which showed that 98% of people oppose the construction of the training ground. Half of them - 46.5% - intend to leave the region if the construction of the training ground is continued.

Activist Nikolai Druzhinin recalled the recent emergency in Neonoks, when an explosion occurred at the military test training ground and there was a radiation emission. The authorities hid the details of the accident, and there was no detailed information about what happened today, Druzhinin is indignant.

The protest action has ended under the general resolution with the requirements to stop the construction of the garbage training ground at the ShIES station, as well as stop nuclear tests near Nononoksa and release the results of the investigation of the incident. The main slogans of the rally became: "This is our land", "The victory will be behind us", "For cranberries in our swamp."

Syktyvkar: 300 instead of 40

We cannot be responsible for passers -by or those who are little interested in what kind of action passes here. Participants in the mass picket are people who have posters with them, people with icons in defense of Shies or yellow vests are not considered, ”said organizer Nina Ananina about the rules of behavior.

The picketers lined up on the sidewalk. Some stood near the roadway so that the anti -municipal calls could notice motorists. Immediately, several women collected signatures against the construction of the garbage training ground and money to support the activists camp in Shies.

According to the rules of the picket, the organizer cannot campaign aloud, but it has the right to comment on the press, so Ananina commented on the action for two hours while the mass picket passed, and eventually thwarted her voice. According to her, the fuel to the builders of the garbage training ground is delivered by helicopter from the city of Emva in the Komi and now the Komi leadership is looking for pilots who can fulfill this task. Also in Syktyvkar there is one of the information centers of the Technopark company, which is working at Shies. At the same time, the authorities in the republic say that they have nothing to do with construction.

- The opinion of the residents of Komi is not taken into account, although Shies is four kilometers from our border. The damage from the landfill will be for us, ”Ananina believes.

The picket was watched with a dozen police officers and about the same number of employees in civilian clothes. At the end of the action, a woman in a red jacket reported to someone on the phone that she counted 41 pickets. If this information is confirmed, the organizers may sue.

St. Petersburg: "Shies around us!"

About 150 people came to the specific park in St. Petersburg. At the rally, not only “garbage” protests in Shies, but the environmental problems of the city and the Leningrad region were discussed.

It was about the construction of a coal port in Primorsk, that the city authorities still had not parted with plans to build a garbage plant in Levashov, about the problems of the current MSZ in old Ladoga, about illegal landfills, cutting forests and parks.

It was always believed that the lands around St. Petersburg were protected from a foreign enemy, but now they must be protected from the "greedy oligarch" that the right to a favorable environment must be conquered today, the speakers said.

Alexander from Severodvinsk called for helping Neynoks, who, according to him, received a “black mark” after an explosion at the testing training ground in August. He urged to combine the struggle against nuclear facilities and garbage training grounds.

Maxim from Kingissup called his city with the second Shies and talked about the fact that under the guise of a high -tech technology park they wanted to make a landfill for all Petersburg garbage. Without asking the inhabitants of Kingisepp, they are already building communications for the training ground near the reservoir and water intake on the Luga River. He urged the authorities to build processing plants, and not turn garbage reform into the creation of new dumplings.

The regions must be united in order to force Moscow and other large cities to cope with their garbage themselves. Many talked about Shies as an example of the struggle against the interests of officials and oligarchs and also called on to give their problems a wide information sound. In December 2018, activists opened a round -the -clock shift near Shies station to observe a construction site and record violations. Since that time, the camp has grown significantly: in the summer 60 tents were installed here, in which residents from different cities of the country lived during duty.

Today, work at the training ground is not underway: Technopark has officially announced the termination of work at a construction site since June 15, 2019. However, the clashes of activists with the guards of the training ground do not stop: the opponents of the landfills tried several times to stop the supply of fuel for the equipment.
