In St. Petersburg, they awarded 40 thousand rubles in compensation to a person detained at the rally on June 12, 2017

The Vasileostrovskiy District Court of St. Petersburg partially satisfied the claim of Aleksey Belozerov, who was detained for actions on June 12, 2017, and decided to pay him compensation in the amount of 40,000 rubles. This was reported by the telegram channel "Apology of Protest".

On June 12, 2017, Belozerov was detained in St. Petersburg for a rally against corruption. The police drew up separate protocols against him for violating the law on the rules for participation in public events (Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) and disobeying the requirements of law enforcement officers (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The court appointed Belozerov 7 days of arrest under Art. 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.

In June 2018, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation ruled that the double involvement of detainees at protests under Art. 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses and Art. 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses was declared illegal. Belozerov's defenders appealed the decision to arrest in 2017, and the St. Petersburg City Court overturned the decision and dismissed the case.

Belozerov demanded to recover 555,000 rubles from the Russian Ministry of Finance for the arrest served in 2017 in a dismissed case. The court partially satisfied the plaintiff's claims, limiting itself to compensation in the amount of 40,000 rubles.
