State Duma deputies allowed the police to make warning to Russians

Deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation in the third reading adopted amendments to the law “On the Police”, Interfax reports . Police officers received official right to warn the Russians about "the inadmissibility of actions creating the conditions for the commission of crimes, or the inadmissibility of continuing antisocial behavior."

The bill was submitted to the lower house of parliament by a group of deputies, led by a member of United Russia, Alexander Khishtein. Now only the FSB and the prosecutor’s office can bear mandatory warnings to citizens.

According to amendments, the police will independently determine the form and procedure for announcing the warning. At the same time, the law does not specify - what actions will be considered unacceptable and what type of warning is supposed to be issued to citizens.

One of the authors of the bill, Unicorn Vasily Piskarev, in a conversation with RIA Novosti noted that the amendments are not related to liability, but are only an additional lever for the prevention of offenses.

According to the human rights activist, after the adoption of the law, the warning may become an aggravating circumstance if it is held accountable for participating in the rally, it can be attached to the case file.

Glukhov added that the police had previously issued warnings to participants in the shares, but such a document is notifying in nature and has no legal force.
