
The head of the CEC Ella Pamfilova advocated updating the composition of the St. Petersburg Election Commission (GIK). It is reported by TASS.
According to the agency, Pamfilova said this at a meeting of the CEC, where municipal elections in St. Petersburg are discussed. The corresponding question was raised by a member of the CEC Alexander Kinev, who analyzed the situation with the elections in St. Petersburg.
“In principle, there is every reason to express distrust, but I would not do it. <...> [But the chairman of the GIK Viktor Minenko has the powers and obligations] to do everything possible to improve the situation. <...> It would be wonderful if [from the horiz being] people left ahead of schedule, gave the opportunity to come to new people, ”TASS Pamfilova quotes.
At the same time, Pamfilova said that Minenko “and he matured in order to write a statement,” writes Fontanka. According to the publication, the work of the city commission was recognized as unsatisfactory.
Earlier, Ella Pamfilova recognized massive violations in the municipal elections in St. Petersburg, calling the “municipal-electrical banditry”, and said that reforms were being prepared.
