On September 26, the U.S. Intelligence Committee published the text of a complaint of an unnamed American intelligence officer, after which Congress officially launched the impeachment of Donald Trump. The complaint, first of all, concerns the conversation of the US President with the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, held on July 25. "Medusa" retells the main thing from this document.

What was before the conversation of Donald Trump and Vladimir Zelensky. In March 2019, The Hill conservative publication began to publish materials in which the then prosecutor of Ukraine Yuri Lutsenko accused other Ukrainian officials, as well as American diplomats of trying to intervene in the 2016 elections on the side of the Democratic Party and block the investigation of this issue. It was also a question of investigation against the Joe Biden family about illegal translations to his son Hunter when he was a member of the Burism gas board of directors. Among others, Lutsenko named the name of the American ambassador in Kyiv Mary Jovanovich - Trump withdrew her, calling the accusations “serious” and “incredible”. After the election of Vladimir Zelensky by the President of Ukraine, his entourage was made to understand that the personal meeting of Zelensky and the telephone conversation with Trump would depend on the readiness to listen to the accusations against Biden, made by Yuri Lutsenko.

From the text of the complaint, we can conclude that her author did not hear a conversation, but talked with one of the White House employees who were present with him. From the conversations with them, the author of the complaint concluded that Trump insisted on an investigation against the Bidenov family and asked that his personal lawyer Rudy Juliani and US prosecutor general William Barra would be allowed to be allowed in the case of a white house published on the eve of the decryption of the conversation. In addition, according to an intelligence officer, Trump asked Zelensky to help prove that the charges of Russian intervention in the US presidential election in 2016 were inspired by the former Ukrainian authorities (“Much of this began in Ukraine,” Trump said about the investigation of this case, judging by the decoding). Finally, the US president allegedly praised the prosecutor general Lutsenko and asked him to leave him at the post (this is not indicated in the decoding; Zelensky raised the question of Lutsenko’s resignation several times and achieved it on August 29).

How the White House tried to hide the content of the conversation. None of the employees present during the conversation was informed in advance about his special character. But what was said by the US President immediately concerned many. In the very first days after the conversation, the leadership of the Trump administration made an attempt to hide its contents, in particular, deleting an official literal transcript from the computer system, in which transcripts are usually stored.

What happened after the conversation. The day after the conversation, July 26, the special representative of the US State Department for Ukraine Kurt Walker and the US Ambassador to the EU Gordon Sondland arrived in Kyiv and, as the author of the complaint writes, consulted the Ukrainian leadership on how to implement Trump's demands. The interlocutors of the author of the complaint also told him that on August 2, Rudolf Juliani flew to Madrid to meet with one of the advisers of Zelensky. At this meeting, he gave direct instructions on how to act in the cases that Trump spoke of.
