Rosmolodezh will train students with information manipulation and counteracting fakes for 3 million rubles

The Federal Agency for Youth Affairs will teach students information tools for manipulation and counteracting fake news in post -truths. The agency posted information about the corresponding competition on the public procurement website, Vedomosti write.

As part of the purchase worth 3 million rubles before the end of 2019, eight scientific and educational lectures-dishes of Russia and the world: understanding of the future will also organize a sociological study on the same topic with a survey of at least 500 people. Lecture topics will include issues such as counteracting fake news, information tools for manipulations, issues of digital reality and foreign policy of Russia, global challenges and a change in technological eras, and international relations. Four experts should be involved for each lecture: two candidates of historical, political or sociological sciences, including high activity in the media, and two narrow -profile speakers in journalism and international relations.

Another 15 million rubles are allocated by the Rosmolodezhi for the end of the discussion student clubs "dialogue on equal terms" in all federal districts. In Moscow, discussions should be held in Gorky Park, Zaryadye and other parks. Throughout the country, 30,000 students should take part in them - 200 people each for each event. Among the discussions are the development of patriotism, foreign economic activity, expansion to foreign markets, globalization and time challenges, leadership and civil service. At least 100 experts should be involved in discussions, among whom there may be folk artists, athletes, senators and State Duma deputies, business representatives, scientists and public figures, civil servants, and bloggers. As one of the art objects, a holographic presenter is provided.

According to political scientists, the organization of such lectures fits into the framework of state policy and becomes the result of increased student activity, including protest. However, current youth is unlikely to like that someone is trying to form her ideas about certain phenomena: students do not watch TV, and Internet publications should be very high quality, while the lecture can provide an administrative turnout. It is noted that lectures on fakes and the like may be ineffective, besides, students will probably begin to ask questions, including the sovereign Internet, and receive answers that they obviously will not suit them. “You can give a lecture, but this will not cancel the fact that immediately after it the students will again reach rallies,” said political analyst Alexei Makarkin.

On the eve of the protest against the inaccessment of representatives of the opposition to the Moscow City Duma, which was held on August 3 in the center of Moscow, the rector of the Russian State Humanitarian University (RSU) Alexander Bezborodov said that students who came to the rally may be expelled at the request of student governments. In response to this, more than 530 students, graduate students, graduates and employees of the Russian State Humanitarian University signed an open letter in which they demanded from the rector to “refrain” from such threats and accused him of security and violation of the law on education prohibiting any pressure on students.

And on the day of the protest campaign, the rector of another university - Moscow Pedagogical State University (MPSU) - Alexei Lubkov also threatened students with deductions if they are held accountable for participating in inconsistent protests. The head of the Moscow State Pedagogical University also noted that "if they go there, I would ask myself to behave within the legal field and in no way succumb to provocations that may affect, first of all, on their personal fate." Subsequently, students repeatedly submitted applications to the authorities for rallies in defense of the arrested in the Moscow Affairs, Yegor Zhukov and Daniil Konon, but invariably received a refusal.
