On September 26, the judge of the Basmanny Court of Moscow Arthur Karpov removed from Alexei Minyailo an accusation of participating in the riots for the shares on July 27 and released from the custody. In recent days, in support of Alexei Minyailo and other defendants in the Moscow Affairs, a public campaign has been deployed . In particular, colleagues - representatives of non -profit organizations massively acted in defense of Minyailo.
“Such cases” asked the philanthropists to comment on the court decision to free Alexei Minyailo.
Photo: Anatoly Zhdanov / KommersantI am madly happy for Lesha, I'm glad that he is a completely free person. It is a pity that he had to spend such a large amount of time on a pre-trial detention center instead of doing something useful for our country. To the decision of the judge, Alexei said that this is a great victory of civil society, in which I was absolutely solidified with him.
I regard the current decision of the court as a greater victory of all-all: civil society, friends of Lesha, the non-profit sector, which was united to support it. It's very cool.
The big question remains: why did a person spent two months in jail, if it turned out that there was no corpus delicti? All Lesha’s colleagues were absolutely sure that he was not to blame for anything. Everyone knows him as a crystal honest guy, a very professional, respectable person. Of course, everyone hoped that they would let him go, but they believed in it little.
Personally, I did not expect such a court decision. I still can't believe it! Very joyful for Alexei, for his relatives, friends. And very glad that the community of employees of non -profit organizations was able to rally and defend Alexei.
Of course, there were not only our efforts - he was also supported by the clergy, there was powerful support among friends, but there is also a contribution of NGOs.
But do not relax. Yes, everything will be fine with Alexei, I hope, but there are other prisoners in the “Moscow case”. The most defenseless are those that do not belong to some large communities, for which there is no one to intercede, for example, Samariddin Rajabov . They remain under the arrest of an absurd, invented charges. Civil society needs to fight for them.
