The Supreme Court of Kabardino-Balkaria, at a meeting on September 27, decided to place under house arrest Ibragim Dugiyev, accused of using violence against a policeman at a protest in Magas in March 2018. This was reported by the "Caucasian Knot" with reference to the lawyer Dugiev.

Ibrahim Dugiev has been in jail since April 9, 2019. He was accused of using violence against the police, dangerous to life and health (part 2 of article 318 of the Criminal Code). At the last meeting, the charge was softened, reclassified to part 1 of article 318 of the Criminal Code (“use of violence not dangerous to life or health”).

Dugiev's lawyer, Visit Tsoroev, appealed to recent rulings in the Moscow case of "mass riots" and "use of violence against police officers." On September 20, the Moscow City Court released Pavel Ustinov on his own recognizance, and on September 26, the Investigative Committee stopped the criminal prosecution of Aleksey Minyailo.

28 other defendants in the Ingush Bolotnaya case remain in custody. The Memorial Human Rights Center recognized them as political prisoners.

On September 12, the Nalchik City Court extended Ibragim Dugiev's detention until December 15, 2019.
On March 26, in Magas, local residents held a concerted rally against the redistribution of borders with Chechnya, its participants demanded the resignation of the head of the republic, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov. After the official end of the action, as the "Caucasian Knot" reported , about two thousand protesters remained on the square all night. On the morning of March 27, the security forces began to disperse the protesters, clashes broke out .
