The judge of the Basmanny District Court of Moscow Natalia Dudar for 3 months extended the house arrest to the defendant of the criminal case of "riots" Sergei Fomin. It is reported by the New Gazeta.
The court satisfied the petition of the investigator, who asked Fomin to extend the preventive measure until January 8, 2020. The accused and his lawyer said they consider house arrest an unreasonable preventive measure.
Fomin also emphasized that the grounds for his maintenance under house arrest are the severity of the charge and the opportunity to hide from the investigation.
“First: there were no mass riots, on July 27 I went to a peaceful action. The criminal case was instituted on me because of the propaganda video, where I was put up by a terrorist who came out of a cordon using a young child. The federal channels did not bother to check it. Second: when I found out that I was on the federal wanted list, I myself came to the police. I have no need to run away because I am not guilty. If they put me in, then this will be on the conscience of the Russian government, she will not get used to it, ”the new newspaper quoted Fomin's words during the hearing.

The heading of the news has been changed, the name and surname of the accused have been added.
