On September 30, employees of the Research Institute of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “NMIC oncology named after N.N. Blokhina ”published an appeal demanding to suspend the new leadership of the institute. Among the basic claims of doctors are pressure on the old team, opacity in the accrual of salaries and the poor condition of the chambers. In case of refusal to fulfill the requirements of 26 employees of the institute threatened to quit. The next day, all children's oncologists of bone marrow transplantation departments left the Research Institute. The leadership of the NMIC rejected the claims of the doctors, accusing them of provocation and a fraud of facts.

The scandals in the Blokhin center began in June, when, as the deputy director for scientific and medical work of the Research Institute of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology, the NMIC of oncology named after N.N. Blokhina passed Svetlana Bartholomeeva. “We are scared if our children are treated with new, inexperienced employees,” says Tamara Tsvetkova, the mother of an cancer patient.

“The psychological climate that has developed cannot but affect the work of a nurse. Nervousness, fear that they will do something wrong, ”says the senior nurse Ekaterina Kurbatova.

“Parents complain that children are not accepted for repeated examinations and forced to go to the place of residence,” said Professor Georgy Mentkevich.

Georgy Mentkevich is the founder of the first children's bone marrow transplantation in Russia in 1991. Until recently, he was acting The head and in parallel held the post of deputy director of the Research Institute of Pediatric Oncology for scientific and medical work.

Three months after the arrival of the new leadership at the Research Institute, oncologists, led by Mentkevich, recorded a video message demanding to resign Svetlana Bartholomeev.

The main reason was the “hardware struggle”, launched by the new leadership against the old labor collective. The claims also caused the opaque accrual of salaries, which turned into a process aimed at “squeezing out” objectionable employees. In addition, oncologists note the unsatisfactory state of boxes in which children are treated.

“If the whole team begins to fever because of one person, if parents ask the president with a request to remove the director, if doctors from other institutions write a letter to our support, then the question arises, how much can you get rid of the team like this?” - asks Mentkevich.

Shortly before the publication of the appeal at the Research Institute, a conflict occurred due to the decision of the new leadership to close the initial hospitalization for repairs. Doctors opposed the lack of an official order.

“If I refuse the patient in hospitalization, then a complaint can be written about me,” Mentkevich explains. - A repair plan must be drawn up. This is a serious thing, the work of the entire institute will be paralyzed. ”

Mentkevich notes that the discussion of this issue with employees of the administrative and economic unit took place in increased tones. “Something [in my words] so insulted people that they immediately ran and wrote a memorandum. Allegedly, I said something bad to Svetlana Bartholomeeva, ”the doctor told the“ new ”. “I don't remember this.” Parents who were at this conversation too. From this I conclude that the charges were absolutely far -fetched. ”

A few days later, Mentkevich was reprimanded due to the “unethical behavior expressed in non-normative vocabulary,” and removed from the post of acting Head. On October 1, he wrote a letter of resignation, all children's oncologists of the bone marrow transplant departments left along with him. A few more employees plan to write applications in the near future.

“Svetlana Bartholomeeva was invited by me to the post of director of the institute in June. I did not regret the day that I did it. It is possible that some employees had personality ambitions to take this position, ”the director of the NMIC told reporters. Blokhina Ivan Shtilidi.

“The cause of the conflict is not a new leadership, but the people who released the video. Svetlana Bartholomeeva is a creator who knows his work perfectly. She was told: either you will work here, or we, ”said Igor Doroshev, deputy director for the organization of medical activity.

The leadership rejected the claims presented by the oncologists in the video message. The oncocenter admits that “there are problems”, but it was the new administration that drew attention to them, and before that there were no complaints from the heads of the departments.

According to Doroshev, the managers did not apply for repairs: hence the peeling paint and the broken tile shown in the video. “And in general, the sanitary-technical condition of the Children's Institute is satisfactory.

The leadership of the cancer center rejected the claims of the doctors regarding salaries. In July, according to Stylidi, there was a “possibly” decrease in salaries by 30%, but in August the volume of payments was again at the same level.

To the question of where the document came from the video (where it was said that the salaries of doctors are 7-13 thousand rubles, and the salaries of “loyal management” are several times higher), Stilidi said that he “has nothing to do with employees of the children's institute in general”. Shtilidi accused the authors of an appeal of “tag of facts, speculation and distortion”, as well as provoking the dismissal of other doctors.

“I assume that behind all this is a certain group outside the oncological center, which is skillfully trying to conduct the mood of our colleagues,” says Shtilidi.

- In the confrontation with the new administration, parents and patients were drawn. In fact, detachments were exhibited from the children. This is blasphemous and is subject to censure. ”

The director of the NMIC assured that in the case of the dismissal of all doctors of the children's institution, children will not be left without qualified assistance. However, the question of who specifically will provide her remained open.

"New" sent requests to the Ministry of Health and Svetlana Bartholomeeva with a request to clarify the situation. She herself was not able to attend the press approach due to the illness caused by the "nervousness of the situation."
