Lawyer Aleksey Kuroptev announced the termination of the case under the article on fake news (part 10 of article 13.15 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) against Arkhangelsk eco-activist Elena Kalinina. about this . Kuroptev told MBKh Media

“The case was returned to the police, after that we were not contacted. All the deadlines have expired, formally we should have been sent a paper [about closing the case], but Elena did not tell me anything about this, ”he said in a conversation with the publication.

The police twice drew up protocols against Kalinina, but each time the court pointed out errors in the materials and returned them to the police. The eco-activist was accused of spreading “inaccurate socially significant information on VKontakte, which caused interference with the functioning of the transport infrastructure”

In the second version of the protocol, the police considered Kalinina’s phrase “In the period established by law (within three calendar days) the city administration did not respond to our notification” as such information. The police and the administration of Arkhangelsk were confident that the response to the notification was sent on time.
