
The Investigative Committee on St. Petersburg charged three suspects in the case of extortion in the investigative insulator of the Crosses, according to the department’s website on October 3.
The investigation believes that in July 2019, three prisoners demanded 20 thousand rubles from the cellmate. He could not find the money, the accused beat him, and then called the victim's relatives and demanded money from them. Relatives transferred 3 thousand rubles to a bank card of a friend of one of the accused.
"The defendants were not at presented to the charges at present. The investigation has sufficient evidence testifying to the involvement of the accused in the crime," the SK statement said.
