19:00 Winter was assigned 280 hours of compulsory work.
The Penitentiary Inspectorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Cherepovets demanded that the court replace the head of the local branch of the movement "For Human Rights" Grigory Winter with mandatory work in a pre-trial detention center. This was reported to OVD-Info by Winter himself.
Compulsory work was assigned to Winter for a post on a personal closed page on a social network. In the post itself, the human rights activist spoke about the deforestation of the Pulovsky forest and used an obscene word about the former mayor of Cherepovets, Avdeyeva, and the head of the city, Guseva. Then the Cherepovets World Court found him guilty under the article on insulting the authorities (Article 319 of the Criminal Code) and appointed 280 hours of compulsory work, as well as 60 thousand rubles in the form of compensation for moral damage.
Due to the state of health, Winter could not serve out work, and therefore filed a petition, but he was not satisfied. Once again, when a human rights activist came to court to get a seal on documents, a court employee asked him: “Do you know that we are going to close you in a pre-trial detention center?” It turned out that the inspectorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service sent a demand to change Winter's sentence to a pre-trial detention center due to the fact that he was not serving his job.
Winter also noted that he learned about the lawsuit of the Federal Penitentiary Service by accident. The court session on the review of the sentence will take place on October 18, but no notice was sent to him.
