So they have been living in the Karelian village of Yurkostrov for several years. In winter, wolves come here - they lift up dogs. In the spring, summer and autumn, bears walk around the village: they eat apples, plums, carrots from gardens. That night, when Olga called her Musa, and the bear cut off the apple trees in her garden, the cubs stole the plum in the neighboring site. At Olga, the bear broke the wire fence in several places, rammed the gate in the neighboring site.

Bear tracks on the beds

Svetlana arrives in Yurkostrov on the weekend. For the week that she was not, in her garden, the bears ate the berries of the Chernomotnaya Rowan, left a pile of excrement and traces of paws on the beds.

- Before that, we fought with boars for two years. I found a way out - I began to include radio in the bathhouse. The wild boars are afraid of the human voice, for two years they have not come. And the bears, on the contrary, go to the radio, says Svetlana. - In the evening I can’t even go out to the toilet, because behind the toilet the bear broke a hole in the fence.

On the site of Nadezhda Ivanova Tedvezt, they tried to make an undermining under an iron fence - she saw them from the window. Nadezhda opened the window and frightened the bears with a whistle.

- They "worked" on this day throughout the village. They came from the hunting farm, but they have one answer: "You can’t shoot a bear with cubs, live with them in fret." The only thing they promised was to write a letter to the Ministry of Natural Resources to get permission to shoot, but again you can’t shoot at the bear, ”says Nadezhda.

In the village of Yurkostrov, bears visited every yard, many have broken fences, in the morning people are afraid to go out into the yard. Social worker Galina Kononets met with cubs when she went to visit a pensioner.

-I went through the field, the people were planted there, there was still a rain, I look, some kind of move, and from there Mishka jumped out and graceful jumps on me. Behind him is the second. I don’t remember how I ran to the house, I climbed the stairs with a crawl, ”says Galina.

Sergey met a bear on the street when he was going on a bicycle.

- I almost kissed him. He rushed to the bike, well, he decided to slow down, and he jumped out onto the road ten meters in front of me. I saw 16 of them at once at a time. Yurkostrov

The first references to the yoke dates back to the XVII century. The village is located eighty kilometers from Petrozavodsk. Locals get to the village on two buses through Kondopoga, the road costs 300 rubles and takes five hours-during this time, you can drive 400 kilometers from Petrozavodsk to St. Petersburg by car.

Previously, in the Yurkostroov there were a farm and a forest industry, a club, a library and an elementary school, two shops, and FAP. Bears go to the Yurkosters for about five years. The village of Raiguba is a couple of kilometers from Yurkostrov, a dirt road leads to it through the forest. The only woman lives in the village - Lyudmila, collects branches for bath brooms. Lyudmila says that more than ten bears sometimes come to them.

- Literally today they saw the bear, they drove past by car. He stood on his hind legs, thought, probably where to go, - she laughs.

In the trout farm on the edge of the village, the security guard Andrei explained that the bears are also smell to them.

- They do not attack, but of course they come, because everything is saturated with fish. How many? Enough to be afraid. I myself saw, from afar, what kind of fool will come close? The waste is taken out for disposal, and which is not taken out, burned in the crematorium, ”says Andrey.

About ten years ago, when the trout farm belonged to other owners, there were no crematorium - the waste was disposed of right in the forest - not far from the farm.

Grandmothers against bears

Klara Ermolaeva lives in Petrozavodsk, in the yoke building she has a summer cottage - a small summer kitchen and a small house in a large site. Killing a bear is unethical, and the cubs are unprofitable - there is little meat and a small skin

As a rule, the bears who walk in summer cottages are shot by hunters - last year one bear shot in the yoke building, at the beginning of this fall, they shot two more, but the hunters did not shoot the bear with the cubs - the bear does not allow hunting ethics to kill, and the cubs are not difficult to kill - little meat. Nobody is engaged in the transportation of animals to another place in the region - cubs who are used to going to people will still look for food in garden plots, such examples have already been.

In the Ministry of Natural Resources, Karelia said that the bears leave the forest not because of a lack of food or cutting down. It is more difficult in Kamchatka, but there at least the fish saves - the fish went, the bears eat fish, do not attack. Thank God, a single case of an attack by a bear on a person, when a person was already beyond the “line”, when the bear decides to attack out of fear or some kind of prey lies very close.

Over the past ten years, the number of bears in the Karelian forests has grown from 3 to almost 5 thousand. One of the reasons for the growth of numbers: hunters have no interest in shooting a bear - skins are poorly realized, while the official license costs 13,000 rubles, which not everyone can afford. - Veadants demand that the hunter give the infected meat for disposal and pay for it himself. In some regions, it was decided to pay (prememe) for the extraction of a brown bear. And the bears are becoming more conflicting, since it is easier to get what is next to the person, plus the hunters have accustomed, leaving the remnants of meat or fish, the huntsman said.

According to the Ministry of Natural Resources of Karelia, over the past two years they received 176 complaints from the residents of the republic to the release of bears to people.

However, these tips concerned those who met the beast in the forest. Those who saw a bear near the house are advised to call the police in the Ministry of Natural Resources of Karelia.
