Roskomnadzor excluded the Central Asian agency Fergana from the register of prohibited sites after deleting a publication about a [Roskomnadzor] pensioner from Bishkek, the agency writes .
“We never received a direct indication from the RKN about what exactly we violated,” says editor-in-chief Maria Dubnova. The editors managed to find out that the blocking was related to the text about [Roskomnadzor]. “Russian legislation establishes very strict requirements for information about [Roskomnadzor]. And we are ready to fulfill these requirements,” said Fergana General Director Daniil Kislyakov.
The text was removed and the supervisory authority was notified. “But we still don’t understand why the RKN didn’t point us directly to this publication, but immediately ordered us to block fergana.agency ,” added Dubnova.
Fergana was blocked on October 1.
