Teacher injured in Kerch college attack dies

Olga Grishchenko, a teacher at the Kerch Polytechnic College who was injured in the attack on the educational institution , died in hospital after lengthy treatment.

According to the college director Denis Kolesnik, Grishchenko underwent many surgeries due to the injuries she received and "ultimately couldn't take it anymore." Thus, the number of victims of the mass murder at the Kerch College has risen to 21 people, Kolesnik concluded. In a conversation with RIA Novosti, he specified that the teacher was buried last summer.

The Crimean Ministry of Education, in turn, stated that it was wrong to include Grishchenko among the victims of the murder. "Sooner or later, unfortunately, other witnesses of these events will pass away. And to include them among the victims, thereby recalling and popularizing the name [of the attacker], who committed an inhuman crime, in my opinion, is not entirely correct," a representative of the department told TASS.
