The defendant in the “Moscow case” Samariddin Radjabov was charged in the final version

Samariddin Radjabov, a person involved in the Moscow case, was charged with threatening to use violence against a representative of the authorities (part 1 of article 318 of the Criminal Code) in the final version. It is reported by MBH Media.

According to the indictment, “Radzhabov S.S. suddenly had a criminal intent aimed at threatening to use violence against this representative of the authorities, in connection with which he (Radzhabov S.S.) wishing to exert a mental influence on the specified police officer to initiate out of fear, in order to force him to stop his lawful activities (...), he forcibly threw a bottle of liquid at the specified employee, ”the indictment reports.

Initially, Radjabov was charged with attempted violence against a policeman (Article 318 with the application of Part 3 of Article 30 of the Criminal Code). The police lieutenant himself, allegedly injured by the actions of the accused, previously claimed that the bottle hit his neck and caused pain. When the collected evidence refuted his testimony, Lieutenant Linnik stated that he "perceived Radjabov's actions as a real threat, since the bottle he threw (...) created a sharp sound of impact, simulating the destruction of an unknown object with the danger of causing bodily harm."

Due to the contradictions in the testimony of the police lieutenant, the defense had doubts about the mental health of the policeman.

“In connection with irremovable doubts about the adequacy of Linnik’s perception of the surrounding reality, on July 27, 2019, the lawyers filed a petition for a psychological and psychiatric examination with questions about whether the police officer Linnik suffers from mental illness or other mental illness that causes an uncontrollable feeling of fear or panic attacks, and also whether Linnik was aware of his actions and whether he could manage them, ”said Sergey Badamshin, Radjabov’s lawyer.

• In connection with the Moscow rally on July 27 for fair elections, during the dispersal of which the police detained at least 1,373 people, a criminal case was opened under articles on mass riots (Article 212 of the Criminal Code) and the use of violence against government officials (Article 318 of the Criminal Code). Until recently, 15 defendants in the case were known. On September 3, the Investigative Committee stopped criminal prosecution against five of them.
