“Octavia. Trepanation"

One of the key events of the capital’s opera fall is the Russian premiere of the performance by Boris Yukhananov and Dmitry Kurland “Octavia. Treepanation ” : On October 17–19, it will be shown as part of the Territory festival, and the Fancymusic label will continue the long -term cooperation with the Electrotheater Stanislavsky by the issue of the opera’s record performed by the Questa Musica ensemble under the control of Dmitry Matvienko and with the participation of the prominent Russian electrician Oleg Makarov. In the latest history of the domestic theater, Opera Yukhananov and Kurlandsky entered long before in the summer of 2017 it was first played in MuziekgeBouw -at the main Amsterdam site for new academic music. “Octavia” became a joint production of the electric theater and the status Holland Festival : for the first time in many years, the European theater forum of class A was not just a co -producer, but a customer of a new production of the theater from Russia. Thirty years later, Octavia returns to Moscow - for the first time the idea of ​​a production in which the tragedy of Seneca led a dialogue with fragments of the Essamine of Lev Trotsky about Lenin, Boris Yukhananov realized back in 1989, releasing a sign for the late Soviet Andegran, a performance on the stage of the assembly hall of one of the Moscow ZhEKs. The 2010s were supposed to occur so that Octavia survived reincarnation-this time in the form of “opera-operation”, as its authors are determined by the genre of essays: an hour and a half interdisciplinary project at the junction of relevant music, installation and theater.
