Deputy head of the Tambov region administration detained

Deputy head of the administration of the Tambov region Gleb Chulkov was detained on October 16 near the administration building, Interfax reports citing an anonymous source.

The reasons for the detention are unknown. The publication "Online Tambov.ru" suggested that Chulkov was detained in a fraud case. This has not been officially confirmed.

The Investigative Committee told RBC that they had nothing to do with the detention.

Gleb Chulkov, 46, has been deputy head of the administration since 2008.
