A prisoner in penal colony No. 9 in Solikamsk in the Perm Territory tried to commit suicide in a punishment cell. This was announced on Facebook by the founder of the human rights project Gulagu.net Vladimir Osechkin.

The prisoner Fistov tried to commit suicide in the colony, who, according to the human rights activist, belongs to the “category of the humiliated” and had previously been subjected to violent acts. “I tried to testify about what was happening, but he was quickly isolated in a punishment cell,” Osechkin said.

Now the victim is in intensive care, said the human rights activist. A source from the Perm edition of 59.ru confirmed this information. The regional department of the Federal Penitentiary Service did not comment on this.

Earlier, prisoner Ivan Zhuzhgov committed suicide in correctional colony No. 9 in Solikamsk.
