The European Court of Human Rights has declared that the Ukrainian authorities violated the rights of five Ukrainian officials dismissed under the lustration law . This was reported on the court's website.
The Court found that Ukraine had violated the right to a fair trial in respect of the first three applicants, as well as the right to respect for private and family life in respect of all plaintiffs.
Each official was awarded compensation in the amount of five thousand euros. In addition, the court ordered Ukraine to pay the first applicant one and a half thousand euros in compensation for moral damages and 300 euros each to all the others.
