Police in Kurgan detained the chairman of the Alliance of Doctors regional movement, Anastasia Vasilyeva, her deputy, Anastasia Tarabrina, and two other doctors, whose names are unknown. This was reported to OVD-Info by the coordinator of Navalny's local headquarters Alexei Schwartz.
All four were taken to the Kotovsky police department. According to Schwartz, they are being threatened with fingerprinting. The detainees are not allowed to go to the toilet without accompanying police officers, among whom there are no females. What they are charged with is still unknown.
Members of the Alliance of Doctors movement had previously barricaded themselves in the building of the fourth branch of the Kurgan Regional TB Dispensary, protesting against its closure. Several hospital patients joined the protest.
Dispensary employees believe that the closure is illegal, and doctors may lose their jobs. Authorities explain the closure of the dispensary by the need for repair work. Already former employees of the dispensary are not satisfied with the alternative proposed by the authorities.
09:25 Reports are drawn up on the detainees at the police department, but it is not yet known under which article, Schwartz reported to OVD-Info. They have been kept in the department for more than four hours.
16:45 A protocol was drawn up against Anastasia Tarabrina under Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (disobedience to the lawful order of a police officer), because she refused to voluntarily get into a police car, reports MBKh Media . Tarabrina and Vasilyeva were taken from the police department to the Ketovsky court in handcuffs. Tarabrina was fined 1,000 rubles.
The "Alliance of Doctors" reports that in the hall where the conference on the events of Kurgan was planned, a pipe allegedly burst.
17:38 Anastasia Vasilyeva, chairman of the Alliance of Doctors trade union, was also fined 1,000 rubles. According to MBKh Media, the administrative protocol under Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses against Vasilyeva was identical to the protocol against Tarabryna and also concerned the refusal to get into a police car.
Two doctors, whose names were unknown, according to some reports, were released from the police department without a protocol.
