CRC members collect signatures under the appeal to Putin against the resignation of Fedotov

Members of the Council for Human Rights under the President prepared a collective appeal to Vladimir Putin with a request to leave Mikhail Fedotov as head of the organization. About this writes RBC.

“Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich, information came to the member of the council that the chairman of the council, Mikhail Alexandrovich Fedotov, will be dismissed in connection with the achievement of the age of 70,” the CNC letter, which RBC got acquainted, said. “At the same time, given the personal merits of Mikhail Alexandrovich and his indisputable authority, the Council appeals to you with a request to extend the term of his authority for the time of the Council in the current composition,” the appeal said.

The signatures are collected by electronic newsletter through the mailboxes of members of the Council. By the evening of October 17, 27 out of 50 signatures were collected. For the adoption of the project, more than half of the 50 members of the Council are required.

On the eve of Interfax, he said that Fedotov, who turned 70 in September, would resign. At the post, he can be replaced by the secretary of the Public Chamber Valery Fadeev.
