This dialogue took place in 1992. Khodorkovsky Jr. (the future load for the country) persuaded Khodorkovsky Sr. (the best grandfather of all times and peoples) resisted. Until the son reminded him of his post -war childhood. The father died in the 41st near Moscow, the mother was left with two children, she worked at the factory two or three shifts in a row ... Little Borya sometimes stood out at the stations, in electric trains, wandered ... He will remember this for life and will obey his son.

In 1993, the Lyceum “Podmosvo” will be created in Corallov-for orphans, children from socially unprotected families, children from incomplete families, children whose parents died in wars, in hot spots, terrorist attacks, airlines. In the 94th lyceum, he will receive the first pupils.

They created this lyceum from scratch. They are Khodorkovsky Sr. and his Masha, Marina Filippovna Khodorkovskaya, parents of the MBH. And also - dozens of unique, talented and, most importantly, sensitive teachers who are ready not only to teach, but also to warm these children with their human warmth and support.

Crippled by the loss of loved ones, children came here often. And after a year of study they thawed, began to smile. It was not easy with street children.

- At first, my ears were wrapped in a tube when I heard them talk. This is horror, ”recalled Marina Filippovna. “I have never heard such words in my life ... And after some time I look-they are already reading books, thanks and please say.” Change!

Sometimes children were brought to the lyceum themselves. Most often, these were fathers who were appointed to Chechnya or served in some distant bays or outposts. But mainly the first years of the Lyceum’s employees - General Yuri Mamonov and the former head of the prestigious department of special operations of the Vympel detachment Anatoly Ermolin - went along the borders, on hot spots and searched, as Mamonov expressed, “children of beaten people”. Found. These were the children of Kaspiysk, Volgodonsk, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Chechnya. The son of General Gamov, who was burned alive in Vladivostok, studied here ... Then the children of Nord-Ost, Beslan, the children of the dead special forces “pennant” studied here.

The lyceum is free, they never took a dime from anyone here.

Children have first -class teachers in all educational subjects, as well as in music, dancing, fencing, the younger ones have nannies who put them to sleep, doctors and psychologists treating all sores. There is even a children's public reception for a child ...

This was originally a unique pedagogical experiment - to give a chance to those who have been the hardest from an early age. And the experiment was a success. 16 issues have already passed in the lyceum. Many graduates already have their own families, with whom they often come to the Lyceum just like that. Those who are studying here successfully pass the OGE and the exam, enter the leading universities of the country.

Every year is a new set. And still, like all these 25 years, the principle of selection is one-“children of beaten people”.

On October 19, 2019, the Lyceum Democratic Republic solemnly accepted another 54 newcomers ... And the elders on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Lyceum gave a concert for parents, teachers, friends of the Lyceum and, of course, for Khodorkovsky Sr.

“I love you all very much,” Boris Moiseevich, who once categorically refused to take “such responsibility”, will say on this day.
