The arbitration court refused to block the BlablaCar service in Russia

The Moscow Arbitration Court rejected the claim of the Astrakhan carrier of Trans-Line, which demanded to block the BlaBlaCar fellow search service.

As RIA Novosti clarifies, representatives of Trans-Line demanded to recognize the information posted on the website and in the BlaBlaCar mobile application prohibited for distribution in Russia, and also argued that, due to the carpulting service, the carrier has losses and is deprived of passenger traffic.

Earlier, Trans-Line has already appealed to the courts with similar lawsuits, but the Krasnodar Regional Court, the Tagansky District Court of Moscow and higher courts also refused to satisfy the claims. If this time the court sided with the plaintiff, then the company would have begun the struggle for the full blocking of BlablaCar and other similar applications in Russia.

The company "Komyuto Rus" (Russian representative office of BlablaCar) was informed to reporters of RBC that the court once again recognized the use of the BlaBlaCar platform by Russian citizens to search for fellow travelers to make joint long -distance car trains.

BlablaCar is the world's largest carpuls service, founded in 2006 in France. BlablaCar appeared in Russia in 2014. In January 2019, the company entered the bus market by launching a platform for regular bus carriers.

At the end of last year, the BlablaCar service became partially paid for passengers in Russia and Ukraine. Under new conditions, when traveling at a distance of more than 120 kilometers, passengers for booking need to buy access to the service for 149 rubles per day or for 199 rubles per month. At the same time, the service will remain free for those who make trips at a lesser distance, as well as for drivers.
