The son of the former Minister for Open Government Affairs Mikhail Abyzov left Russia, as he could be taken away by guardianship authorities. Abyzov spoke about this at a meeting of the Basmanny Court to extend the arrest.
The former minister recalled that he has two minor children from his ex-wife in care, but due to the arrest of accounts, he cannot pay them alimony.
“As a result of the fact that my middle son, who lived and studied in Russia, in my absence could be seized by the guardianship authorities as a minor, he was forced to leave for America to live. This is a great personal tragedy for him, because he cannot imagine his life outside of Russia,” the ex-minister said.
