Boris Johnson will propose to the British Parliament to hold early elections due to a new postponement of Brexit

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will propose holding early parliamentary elections on December 12. This is stated in his letter to the leader of the opposition Labor Party Jeremy Corbyn, which the Prime Minister published on Twitter.

In the letter, Johnson suggests that the EU will agree to give the UK another Brexit delay.

If it is delayed until November 15 or 30, Johnson will once again try to get a draft Brexit deal through Parliament. If Brussels grants a delay until January 31, which Johnson thinks is more likely, the prime minister will propose to parliament that early elections be held on December 12.

House of Commons leader Jacob Rees-Mogg said the government would formally submit a proposal for early elections to Parliament on 28 October. For their implementation, Johnson needs to obtain the consent of two-thirds of the total number of deputies.

• On October 17, Boris Johnson and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker announced that the parties had reached an agreement on Brexit. But the House of Commons rejected Johnson's proposal to ratify the agreement in three days, which would delay Brexit until January 31, 2020.
