The Central District Court of Volgograd arrested Anton Buturlakin, an employee of the National Collection Service (NSV) collection company, suspected of stealing personal data of Sberbank clients, for two months.
During the court session, the representative of the investigation stated that Buturlakin, trading in client information on the Internet, managed to receive 40 thousand rubles as a reward.
The suspect wrote a confession and pleaded guilty to the deed. Meanwhile, the investigation claims that Buturlakin was detained while trying to escape from the Volgograd region. He faces up to five years in prison.
“I completely accept, I want to ask for forgiveness. In the information that was published by third parties, there were no card numbers, there was an account and only the amount of debts that people did not pay for 5-10 years, nothing could be done with this information. It was sold to a person who is engaged in bankruptcy, he planned to help these people, ”Buturlakin said.
