Report from the scene of a mass shootout in the Rostov region, which is hardly called a household conflict

The shootout occurred on the afternoon of October 22 at the sheep site between the Kamyshevka and Chernozubov farms. Representatives of the two Chechen families - Dakishvili and the Batsiev met to find out the fate of the former pasture with an area of ​​20 hectares. Since 2018, the agricultural cooperative "Novoselovsky" has rented these lands from former collective farmers who received share in the process of privatization. The Batsievs bought the ground and demanded that cooperators clean.

According to eyewitnesses, a few days before the tragedy, the Bacievs were driven off the field of the state farm tractor driver, who came to peak the land to prepare for winter. The general director of the Novoselovsky agricultural cooperative Vasily Dakishvili in response promised to collect all the tractor drivers and smell the land at all costs. In response, the Batsievs, bursting into the administration of the SEC, when the meeting went there, threatened to shoot those who put on their land, eyewitnesses say.

So they said - "shoot."

On the evening of October 22, the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Rostov Region announced the initiation of a criminal case on the fact of the death of five people, and two days later the same director of the SEC Vasily Dakishvili went to the pre -trial detention center.

“The court and the investigation established sufficient data to detain a 39-year-old suspect in the murder of five men during the conflict that occurred in x. Chernozubov of the Oryol district 10/22/2019 ” - the department said in a statement.

As usual, both sides have his own versions of the conflict, which in the tiny farm Kamyshevka did not shock and did not surprise anyone.

Version of the Dakishvili family: raiding

In a shootout, the Dakishvili family lost a young man - Zurabu Dakishvili was 35 years old. He, together with a friend - an Armenian named Edgar, arrived at the Batsiev sheepskine, where another unpleasant conversation was supposed to take place. Instead of a conversation, both received a shot. Edgar's face was so mutilated that for some time he was listed as unidentified in the lists of the dead. Zurab tried to save his comrade, says Otar Mutashvili, one of the relatives of Dakishvili.

“They came to talk, and opened the shooting at them,” says the pensioner Mutashvili, and immediately falls silent: they are now carefully hiding in the family which of the Dakishvili family, except for the murdered Zurab, took part in the “showdowns”.

This is important because the rest of the killed and wounded are members of the Baciev clan. The two survivors were hospitalized in the Oryol district hospital and testified to Vasily Dakishiville and three of his relatives.

Two Chechen families in Kamyshevka were at enmity for a long time.

- Dakishvili - this is because they are “cysts”. In Chechnya, the so -called residents of the Pankisian gorge are called. When the Chechens were evicted (mass deportation of 1944 - E.R. ), many fled to Georgia and took Georgian surnames for themselves. So the Dakiyevs became Dakishvili, ”says a friend of Dakishvili - Dakiyev Tupal Vitahano. - This was also a reason for skirmishes. The Batsievs said to everyone: "They are not Chechens, they are the Dynchers." This is an insult to us: the Dypens are the same Chechens, there is no difference.

Both families are engaged in agriculture, so they competed for the main resource - land. According to Vitakhanov, the Batsievs, using relations in various structures, increased their land bank, buying up the form of former collective farmers, and were mainly engaged in cattle breeding. Dakishvili more gravitors to crop production.

About a year ago, the former lawyer of the cooperative Vasily Dakishvili became the director of the enterprise, and this, as both parties recognize, aggravated the conflict. Relatives of Dakishvvili say that in a year Vasily managed to withdraw the enterprise from the crisis, while its predecessors, being under the pressure of the Bacievs, were squandered a lot of land. Having headed the SEC, Vasily Dakishvili protested several transactions and added oil into the fire of a long -standing confrontation. Threats began.

According to the lawyer of the SEC "Novoselovsky" Kelbauha’s novel, having received ownership of one such site, the Bacievs demanded that the cooperative stop cultivate it.

“The new owners did not agree to provide their plots for rent, first in orally they demanded to free the land, and then threats began on the part of the Batsiykh clan,” says Kelbauh. - The chairman of the cooperative told me that he was threatened precisely by execution.

In the morning, before the events, one of the representatives of the Batsiev clan drove up to the cooperative, and in the presence of a large number of employees, he intended to shoot.

The lawyer explains: under the lease agreement, Novoselovsky has the right to process these lands until 2023, the change of owner, according to the lawyer, does not affect this. But the Batsievs were considered differently, therefore they cursed, threatened, and then made an appointment with the objectionable chairman, where immediately, according to the relatives of Dakishvili, they arranged a shootout.

Batsiev family version: arbitrariness

In the Batsievs in that battle, three died at once, two more were in the hospital. One with traces of beating, the other with a gunshot wound. For both, doctors give positive forecasts. Moreover, Balaudi Khusikhanov’s injuries did not prevent the investigators from interrogating him in the first hours after the shootout, and soon a record of what happened appeared in the telegram channels: he insisted that Dakishvili began to cultivate their land, and when the hosts were indignant, they were ambushed and shot.

- When he ( Uvisa Batsiev, the owner of the disputed site - e.R. ) called, we went there together. As soon as they arrived, they called this Vasya (Dakishvili), they said that we were waiting for him, ”the wounded Khusikhanov quoted the Telegram channel“ Base ”. - And when they drove up, 4 or 5 cars, we got out of the car, I greeted the guys and said: “Let's talk.” As the eldest, I wanted them to make peace, talked to figure it out. We did not plan any fight at all, nothing. And they jumped out of cars and began to beat us with bats. When I woke up, I heard shooting.

One victim was in a hospital with gunshot wounds, was operated on, his life is out of danger. The second has a wound, presumably from the beats of the bits, and this confirms the Bacoye version that there were at least 5-6 people on the sheep point on both sides. But only men from the Dakishvili family were put on the wanted list.

The corpses of Arbi, Idris and Islam were given to Batsiev that evening, part of the family went to bury men to their homeland, to Chechnya, some remained to guard the wounded. They categorically refused to communicate with journalists.

East is a fine -handed thing

The shootout with three killed and two wounded did not cause any excitement on the streets of Kamyshevka, and in the district center - the village of Orlovskaya about the incident speaks without tragic stinkings.

“They heard, of course,” the tired saleswoman of a mini-market answers indifferently, breaking a bottle of water without gas at the checkout. - For the first time or what?

In Kamyshevka on the streets - not a soul, the farm seems to have died out. Or froze behind the curtains. An attempt to hail through the fence of a tall, thin pensioner in the artistically stretched Triko and T -shirt ends in the courtyard.

- Don't talk to him! -someone’s voice shouts to him from the canopy, and the man, bending, returns to the rickety house.

One pensioner nevertheless agrees to talk, not calling her name.

- And what happened? I heard on the radio that they shot someone. And who? - She asks, and, having received the answer, clarifies: - But there are no Russians? Well, good.

According to her, the Chechens used to live around the Kamyshevka, but only in the steppe cats, where they built a house next to the knife shepherd and took care of the whole family all year round. As old -timers say, even in the registration it was: "Rostov region, Oryol district, sheep point No. ...". So in the Soviet Union they tried to wipe their nose to Australian sheep breeders: the sheep of the Grozny, Stavropol and Caucasian breeds traditional for the south of Russia for decades was crossed with fine -winged rams, having achieved the emergence of the so -called Soviet merinos. His best herds in the 60s appeared in the steppes of Don and Stavropol. To care for animals, shepherds from Chechnya, Dagestan, Ingushetia, Armenia, Georgia moved there.

Conflicts in the Caucasus, starting from the 80s, made adjustments to the demographic picture of the East of the Rostov Region. The indigenous population began to leave the ruined collective farms; The farms and villages were empty. At home, relatives of yesterday’s shepherds fled from the Caucasus, gradually forming clans and bringing their customs to new territories.

World - grain, war - pastures

The secretary of the Zimovnikovsky district committee of the Communist Party of the Communist Party of the Communist Party, Viktor Kucher, who has been supervising at once, has been going to the places of conflicts of the indigenous population with the Caucasians for several years. He believes that all the fault is wild capitalism, who came to the Don along with the right to land and freedom of trade. Growing bread is much more profitable than breeding cattle. Therefore, yesterday's pastures are actively plowing: sowing on the virgin lands is profitable.

- If you plow the virgin soil, then you can sow, and for three years you do not need to spend money on mineral fertilizers. We have about 70% of pastures in the Zimovnikovsky district. People have nowhere to graze cattle. And here the lawmakers “helped” - increased the norms of the Earth for each cow. If earlier it was enough to have 1 ha of land for one head, now, according to the law, you need to have at least five.

If you do not have so much land, then the verification of the Veeps begins, people are literally forced to get rid of livestock. Dairy cows go under the knife, such a development of dairy farming.

The most superficial monitoring of local media draws a gloomy picture:

• 2012. A mass fight in the market in the Repairnensky district, the indigenous population with stakes and sticks went to the Dagestanis, who massively populate the district and allow the grass of other people's crops. The unrest was pacified by the Rostov riot police, who had to settle in the repair room after the skirmishes for some time.

• 2013. Two tribes in the Zimovnikovsky district, which previously engaged in the breeding of those very Soviet merinos, were bought by Cyprus offshore for several tens of thousands of has of arable land. The tribal farm was liquidated. For several years, the shepherds tried to sue businessmen, but lost, and throughout the East of the Rostov Region they now tell how the Samanic houses of shepherds were destroyed by excavators, exposing people into another life.

• February 2019. Residents of the village of Chertkovo in the Morozovsky district of the region unexpectedly learned that their public pasture was put up for an open competition and was leased with an entrepreneur who immediately rolled out the peasants for the use of once public land. Livestock breeders, already balancing on the verge of profitability, were indignant. It was necessary to calm the indignant at the level of the apparatus of the governor of the region, but the conflict has not yet been resolved, but only frozen.

- It's all about grain. It is much more profitable to grow and sell abroad, so they open everything they can reach, ”says Victor Kucher. - And the people here are hot, now and then reports on skirmishes come. I will spend who do it just gather and find out the relationship. Some conflicts last for years.

Nobody has been hoping for the police help here for a long time. So Dakishvili says that they often received threats from the Batsiev family, wrote statements to law enforcement agencies, demanding measures, but no one reacted.

“No one cares about us,” says Natella Gargashvili, who arrested Vasily Dakishvili has to be his nephew.

“We were attacked - we defended us! And now in our family there are one deceased, and three in them. They must kill our two more. We are scared. "

- We already invited the elders to say who was right in this story. The elders gathered and said: “The Batsievs are wrong!”, But they just do not want to listen to anyone. They have money, connections, they can do everything.

Zero reaction

The authorities of the Rostov region are still silent about what happened. Although the growth of interethnic tension is recognized and even regularly report on how to resist the radicalization of the Don.

But instead of reports, programs and roadmaps, these areas need economic development programs, and not barbaric plowing pastures, destroying the usual way of life and squeezing people beyond the boundaries of the legal field, Rostov journalist Dmitry Andreyanov, who regularly covers the crisis situations in the east of the region for the past 6 years.

- I shot how people destroyed at home with excavators, exposing them from the ground. Together with children, families - to nowhere. Those who tried to complain received warnings from the prosecutor's office about the inadmissibility of extremism. Therefore, now I am not surprised when I hear stories about how people with weapons in their hands go to sort things out.

All state institutions designed to resolve such conflicts simply stopped working. And the people there are hot, there are weapons in every family.

Any conflict has an ethnic background, although it can begin with economic disputes. Previously, in the village, young people will fit - well, it happens ... And now they immediately begin to look for an ethnic background: have there been Chechens there, for example?
