Angara region: The victims of the flood did not issue compensation and certificates

The inhabitants of the Irkutsk region, affected by floods, say that they have not yet been assessed by damage, have not paid compensation and have not issued a housing certificate. The activists who conducted the survey of people filed a statement to the prosecutor’s office, according to the website of the Irkutsk branch of the “All -Russian Popular Front”.

The confusion also arose with payments for the lost crop from the gardens. “All the time we stumble on the wall of indifference,” the activists give the words of the inhabitants.

Activists report that many residents, especially the elderly, are poorly informed about what measures to eliminate the consequences of floods are taken and how to get due help to them. Local authorities poorly carried out explanatory work, volunteers say.
