Sberbank signed a non-binding agreement to acquire from Gazprombank a minority stake in MF Technologies, a shareholder of Mail.ru Group. TJ was informed about this by the bank's press service.
Sberbank plans to work on an O2O services (online-to-offline) platform being created jointly with Mail.ru Group in the field of food delivery and restaurant business, transport and a number of other areas.
The deal is expected to be completed by the end of 2019. The parties will sign a binding agreement once they have received all necessary government approvals.
The MF Technologies company owns 11.5 million class A shares of Mail.ru Group, giving 58.9% of the votes, writes Vedomosti . In MF Technologies themselves, Gazprombank owns 35%.
