Moscow police increased the amount of the claim against the leaders of the summer protests by 500 thousand rubles

The Moscow police have increased the demands for claims against the leaders of the summer protests by 500 thousand rubles. The total amount of the claim is now 10.2 million rubles. This was reported by MBKh Media.

On September 30, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs filed two lawsuits against the oppositionists in the amount of almost 18 million rubles for damage “caused in connection with the involvement of forces and funds to ensure public order as a result of uncoordinated mass events.” Later, the department reduced the amount of claims by almost half - to 9.7 million.

Now the plaintiffs have increased their demands again. According to the first claim against Alexei Navalny, the coordinator of his headquarters Oleg Stepanov and unregistered candidates for the Moscow City Duma Vladimir Milov, Ilya Yashin, Ivan Zhdanov, Lyubov Sobol, Alexander Solovyov - up to 4.2 million rubles. According to the second - to Lyubov Sobol and FBK employee Georgy Alburov - up to 6 million. Thus, the total amount of the claim is 10.2 million rubles. In addition, the oppositionists are asked to collect a state duty in the amount of 62 thousand rubles.

• This is not the first damages claim against participants in the summer protests. The M.Taxi service demanded almost 800 thousand rubles for interference with work, and the Fly Auto rental car demanded 1 billion rubles for “losses” due to actions on July 27, August 3 and 10.
• The Koptevsky court satisfied the claim of Mosgortrans for the recovery of 1.2 million rubles for delaying the movement of public route transport, the claim of the State Budgetary Institution "Automobile Roads" for the recovery of 3.4 million rubles for damage to road infrastructure, as well as the claim of the Moscow Metro for 53.7 thousand rubles for several employees going to work on their day off. In favor of the Armenia restaurant, the court recovered 241.5 thousand rubles from the organizers of the action.
• On July 27, a rally was held in Moscow for the admission of independent candidates to the Moscow City Duma elections. According to OVD-Info, at least 1,373 people were detained that day. At least 265 protesters spent two nights in police stations.
