On September 30, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs filed two lawsuits against the oppositionists in the amount of almost 18 million rubles for damage “caused in connection with the involvement of forces and funds to ensure public order as a result of uncoordinated mass events.” Later, the department reduced the amount of claims by almost half - to 9.7 million.
Now the plaintiffs have increased their demands again. According to the first claim against Alexei Navalny, the coordinator of his headquarters Oleg Stepanov and unregistered candidates for the Moscow City Duma Vladimir Milov, Ilya Yashin, Ivan Zhdanov, Lyubov Sobol, Alexander Solovyov - up to 4.2 million rubles. According to the second - to Lyubov Sobol and FBK employee Georgy Alburov - up to 6 million. Thus, the total amount of the claim is 10.2 million rubles. In addition, the oppositionists are asked to collect a state duty in the amount of 62 thousand rubles.
