I did not know, for I was busy with more important matters than viewing the Internet. "Searches, with machine gunners!" - the colleague said excitedly. From his slightly confused story, I realized that the investigating authorities were opened in the fiana either the theft during construction work, or the double -purpose smuggling. He asked: was it really so seriously that it was required to attract dozens of machine gunners? Maybe it was expected that academicians will fight off the investigators? Still, this is Fian, and not Don Corleone’s lair ... And he was interested in why searches were conducted at home with the director of the institute: did they really suspect that his house, like Colonel Zakharchenko, billions of rubles were laid with staff? Or did they think that in the toilet tank, the specialized ones prepared for the export abroad are hidden?

I tried to calm my colleague: do not get nervous, the bodies will figure out everything. After watching in the future, I found out that the case is still about smuggling. My opinion has not changed from this: when investigating a criminal case, they will figure out everything - whether the smuggling attempt was committed, whether the leadership of the institute contributed to this.

In this case, I am much more concerned about another question, the question of conceit, so to speak, a scientific community. Soon after the searches, the July 1 club expressed a “sharp protest against the next attack of law enforcement agencies on the scientist - director of the largest physical institute named after P.N. Lebedeva (Fian), corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences N. N. Kolachevsky. " Academicians demanded that the power structures “treat N. N. Kolachevsky with its maximum respect, the reputation of the institute he headed by him and the Russian Academy of Sciences as a whole.”

It is read between the lines: do not stick your dirty gendarme paws in the sanctuary of science! Yes, colleagues, yes, we are very characteristic of high conceit, the feeling that we are something higher than law enforcement officers, deputies, governors and ministers who sometimes also have searches. They, they say, can be with them, but you treat us with extreme respect! Do not impose on us bureaucratic science management methods, do not force us to report on meetings with foreigners, etc., etc.

And, I must tell you, in Christianity, for example, pride is a serious sin, it was she who made Satan raise the uprising and be overthrown into the abyss of hell. The story of the fall of the devil, although it is a religious fiction for sane people, should serve all of us, colleagues, a serious lesson. A fairy tale lies, as they say, and there is a hint in it, good fellow lesson.

All of us, preparing to lift our nose and burst out with the next series of claims, should recall popular wisdom: we are not looking for good from good. The state increases the financing of science; Scientists, especially us, arrogant Muscovites, began to receive significantly higher salaries. Yes, yet we have not reached material and technical support to the level of the most developed countries, but we must understand in what difficult conditions our country has to exist! She is surrounded by enemies, enemy intelligence agencies are constantly invented by intrigues and conspiracies to weaken Russia; Life is still warming in a reduced radical terrorist underground; With the support of the State Department and the CIA, the fifth column raises his head. Therefore, it is necessary to direct the main resources of the budget to support our armed forces, our valiant security authorities, which confront all this frantic and evil enemy onslaught.

Therefore, I will say, probably, not a very popular thing in our environment. We sometimes behave like shattered children who have begun to spend our sidespread parents. And the rational parent in this case must take certain, well -known measures to everyone in order to instruct the child on the true path. Do admonition. Here are the machine gunners in Fian and are such a reasoning - for my taste, even too soft. To get it, it was necessary to act harder.
