The head of the fire department in the village of Balyks in Khakassia, Ivan Schneider, was arrested on suspicion of intentional arson of several houses, Siberia. Reali reports with reference to the First Deputy Head of the Fire Service of Arkady Pisarenko.
Schneider became the head of the fire department in August 2019, and since that time fires became more frequent in the village: in three months there were six fires in residential buildings and several more in non -residential buildings. The suspect was found by recording from the surveillance camera.
All fires in the village over the past three months took place at night when Schneider was not replaced. The detained fireman has already admitted his guilt, saying that "he wanted to check the readiness of his unit."
We add that in 2012 in Novomoskovsk, the police detained a 28-year-old former employee of the fire service of the Ministry of Emergencies. He was involved in a series of arson.
"Since the beginning of April, the residents of the wooden houses of Novomoskovsk were seriously alarmed. Over and over again, houses flashed at different streets of the city. In the old buildings, partially resettled, people who could become victims of fires still lived," the police said.
After the capture of the alleged arsonist and his 20-year-old accomplice, it turned out that the eldest of the detained men previously worked as the head of the guard of the fire department, but was dismissed for negative reasons. According to one version, he began to avenge arson for his dismissal. At the same time, the man took off his criminal acts on his cell phone, and then helped extinguish fires.
Video recording of fires on a mobile phone of a dismissed fireman who received a special education became a confirmation of his involvement in arson.
