The World Court extended the preventive measure for Roman Udot, a member of the board of the “Voice” movement.

In Khimki, the world court extended the measure of restraint for Roman Udot, a member of the Council of the Golos movement, accused of threatening to kill NTV journalists. This is from the courtroom reports the publication "Law".

The prosecutor petitioned to extend Udot's preventive measure. The judge, after two hours in the deliberation room, decided to extend the preventive measure for 1 month. Udot needs to be at home from 23 to 6 (previously the restriction was from 20 to 7 hours). The rest of the prohibitions have not changed: on communication with participants in the process, the use of means of communication, attending rallies and public events.

The defense, for its part, asked to be allowed to use the Internet to prepare for the case and to be able to file complaints, communicate by phone and participate in rallies, since these prohibitions are absurd and unreasonable within the framework of the case.

Also at this meeting, the judge decided that the presence of the victims in court is mandatory. NTV journalists asked to consider the case in their absence. The defense insisted that the accused had the right to ask questions of the accuser.

Udot said in court that he does not admit guilt and wants an investigation. The meeting was postponed due to the absence of witnesses.

The previous court session was scheduled for the day when Udot's lawyer Maxim Pashkov was busy. Udot refused the appointment of a lawyer proposed by the court. Declared as preliminary, including according to the court website, the hearing was actually held as the main one, witnesses and three NTV film crews appeared. According to the lawyer, this could indicate an attempt to carry out all judicial actions in one day.
