The police put Anastasia Lotareva, editor-in-chief of “Takih Delo”, on preventive registration because of a fine for a single picket in support of journalist Ivan Golunov near the courthouse where his case was heard. The publication itself reports this with reference to the journalist.

According to her, the district police officer came to her home to inform her that she had been placed on professional watch for a year: the journalist must give the district police officer a court order, the policeman himself will call her once a month, check her whereabouts and conduct preventive conversations. According to Lotareva, “the man was polite and obviously embarrassed by the responsibilities assigned to him.”

The journalist signed an explanation that she was notified of the registration for occupational safety. After the district police officer left, Lotareva contacted a lawyer, and on his advice, told the district police officer that she refused to give the court’s ruling, to which he replied: “It’s a pity.”

In June, the Nikulinsky District Court of Moscow imposed fines of ten thousand rubles on the editor-in-chief of “Takih Dela” Anastasia Lotareva and the publication’s journalist Sergei Karpov for single pickets near the court in which a preventive measure was chosen for Ivan Golunov.
