The grocery delivery service from Sbermarket stores will be part of a joint venture (JV) of Sberbank and Mail.ru Group, Sberbank said in a statement.

Sbermarket is a service for delivering goods from stores. The online service application can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play. On September 6, Sberbank launched Sbermarket in test mode in Rostov-on-Don and Krasnodar. On November 11, the service began operating in 31 cities in Russia. Among them are Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Ufa and Voronezh. In Moscow, through the service you can order delivery from Metro Cash & Carry, Auchan and Azbuka Vkusa; in other cities - only from Metro Cash & Carry. In Sbermarket, the cost of goods will be the same as in the store, the delivery time will be from two hours. Its cost is from 98 rubles.

The companies announced plans to create a joint venture on July 25. The enterprise should become “the leading Russian platform” for services in the field of food and transport, its participants reported. Mail.ru Group will contribute money to the new company, 100% of the food delivery service Delivery Club and 22.69% of the Citymobil taxi ordering service (later the company committed to ensure the consolidation of at least 75% of this service into the joint venture). Sberbank will contribute 35% in the Foodplex service and about 38 billion rubles to the joint venture. The cost of the new company, according to its participants, may exceed 100 billion rubles.
