The Kirov Regional Court canceled the arrest of the apartment of Anatoly Tokarev, who is accused of organizing the activities of a banned religious organization. This is reported on the website of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Tokarev’s apartment and garden were seized in case the man was found guilty and given a fine. The court of second instance considered this decision illegal. The website of the religious organization notes that seizure of property is one of the ways to put pressure on believers who refuse to cooperate with the investigation.
The case against Tokarev was opened in May 2019. According to investigators, he organized meetings of fellow believers, sang biblical songs with them and studied religious literature. Then a search was carried out at his home. When the man refused to cooperate with the investigation, they began to threaten him that his family would have problems.
