A case was opened against the editor-in-chief of the Nizhny Novgorod publication “Koza press” because of the word “gondon”

In Nizhny Novgorod, an administrative case was opened against Irina Slavina, editor-in-chief of the local newspaper Koza Press, under the article on insult (Part 1, Article 5.61 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). They want to prosecute the journalist because of a post on Facebook in which she called the former member of the All-Russian Popular Front Ilya Savinov a “gondon”. About it writes "MBH Media".

She noted that she was summoned to the prosecutor's office to draw up a protocol. “On the first of September, I wrote a post in which I called this figure a “gondon”, now the prosecutor’s office is looking for a meeting with me. Savinov is a former ONF activist who previously served time for murdering a man. It is possible that I broke his career in politics after I wrote about these circumstances, ”MBKh Media quotes Slavina.

• On October 30, the Nizhny Novgorod District Court fined Slavina 70,000 rubles under the article on disrespect for the authorities (part 3 of article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) because of the word “Shakhuynya”. On the social network, the journalist wrote: “After Stalin’s face was hung on a house in Shakhunya, Nizhny Novgorod, it is proposed to rename the settlement to Shakhunya.” The post gained 100 likes, after which the police became interested in it.
