
The authorities of St. Petersburg officially submitted a new city logo at a conference in honor of the St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum. This was reported by the Committee on Tourism Development. The metabrand of the city was a blue-blue circle with the inscription "St. Petersburg" (English-language version-Saint Petersburg).

At the conference, about 10 images with the logo of the city were presented. The winner’s logo was developed by SPN Communications. As the director of the company said Andrei Barannikov, the metabrand is “the Northern Sun, which always shines - both in winter and in summer,” and his slogan “to create great”. The font of the logo is adaptive, wide and applies to any carrier. Subsequently, the logo can be used on souvenirs, billboards or in presentations. Elements of the letter "E" are stylized for divorce bridges.
