Volodya is 20 years old. Quiet, thoughtful, attentive, loves “masters and Margarita” and cannot stand aside when injustice nearby: too often life was unfair to him himself
Help arithmetic good helpIn the city, rain, Volodya wetted sneakers. We drink coffee in a noisy coffee shop and remember our favorite scenes in the novel “Master and Margarita”. Vova says that he read it five times, loves Yeshua for kindness, and a cat Hippo for leprosy, but in general this is a very deep work, which is always revealed in a new way. Volodya is 20 years old, he has a competent speech of hereditary humanities, pleasant manners and spasm clenching the quiet sincerity of the surviving “different” person.
“Mom had three of us: a sister and brother from my first husband and I am the youngest,” says Volodya. - Mom was sick much, my father was sitting, I have never seen him. My brother and I studied at a boarding school-this is an ordinary school for children from remote villages and orphans. And then mom died. No, we had no relatives. There was aunt, my sister left for her, and we were left in the boarding school. But already in another status. Now we were orphans. My father was deprived of parental rights, but I did not mind. "
For three years, life in a boarding school flowed habitually and measuredly. And then the rumor crawled: the school is disbanded, difficult teenagers are sent to the Kupinsky correctional boarding school. Vova was not “difficult”, but several jambs were behind him: quick -tempered, rude to teachers a couple of times, walked lessons. He asked his beloved teacher: “I'm not difficult, right? Will I stay with my brother? " The beloved teacher smiled radiantly: “Well, of course, Vovka. We will not give you offense. ” And a week later I went into the room and reported the good news: “You go to the sanatorium, Vovka, collect a backpack, tomorrow you can go!”
The Gazelle stood at the porch of the school in a black funnel, the teacher cooled reassuringly that “you will go, get strength”, and in the cabin of Vovka they took other people's hands. All his things lay in the back seat.
Volodya photo: Anton Unitsyn for TD“I shouted then:“ Let me out, I want to my brother! ” - Volodya is leaning. - He began to break out, tried to open the door, called for help. But they kept me tight all the way. So I ended up in a correctional boarding school. ”
My interlocutor looks out the window, and then suddenly smiles: “All this time I thought how I would come and ask her:“ Why did you betray me like that? ” He lived with these thoughts, imagine! And a year ago, when my sister and I went to resolve the issue of our inheritance, I came to her. I look at her and understand that I feel sorry for her. She betrayed me, not me. And there is no more resentment, only pity. So he left, did not ask anything. He said that everything is fine with me. ”
We make a “coffee pause”-Volodya switches and talks about today that he lives now with his sister in the apartment on Kalinin Square, communicates with his brother-Student once a week. Life again connected their small family, and he is very happy about this.
The director’s correction changed like gloves. The adults were not up to Volodya: no one was surprised by the fact that a smart teenager masters the primary school program and lives among children with mental disorders. It was sick at heart, Vovka did not think about the future, lived in a viscous, unpleasant dream. He compares his life with Gorky’s play “At the bottom” - this is the same hopelessness. And then the new director came, saw Volodya, was surprised (“Guy, what are you doing here?”) And transferred him to the orphanage.
In the orphanage, life was not sugar. The only outlet was the school, and especially the lessons of the Russian language and literature. “[The teacher] somehow in the lesson said to me at all:“ Vovka, if I were younger, I would adopt you, ”my interlocutor smiles. - It was so unexpected and sincere that I almost cried. And then a “chance” appeared in my life. And I realized that everything was not in vain. ”
Volodya photo: Anton Unitsyn for TDOne day, the teacher announced: there is an opportunity to prepare for the final exams - pull the necessary items to choose from. Then Volodya thought for the first time: "A whole life is ahead, and who am I in it?" And he agreed to take part in the "Chance" program and remotely take lessons from teachers.
The Arithmetic of Good charity foundation has developed the Chance program, designed from eighth to eleventh grade. Her main task is to give the children the opportunity to adequately hand over the exam and the OGE. In the "Chance" the students are special-pupils of orphanages and orphans. “This program does not just help like me to master the school curriculum,” Vovka explains to me. “She gives us awareness of her place in life.” I lived before the “chance” one day, not thinking what would happen to me when I left the orphanage. And he began to prepare with the teachers for exams - and that was as if he woke up. "
When Volodya “woke up”, he suddenly realized that he wanted to be a lawyer: to competently and professionally defend those who cannot stand up for themselves. He says that he had this feeling from childhood: once he stood up for the youngest, he had a fight, his mother was even called to school. Then he explained to her at home: “You can’t stand aside, when injustice happens before your eyes!” Mom then laughed and said: “To be you, Vovka, a lawyer!” The children from the "Chance" Volodya supported: of course, we will help! And they invited him to go through a cycle of trainings that help children from orphanages to believe in themselves and understand that behind the threshold of the institution a big and interesting life awaits them. My interlocutor says that thanks to the trainings he stopped being afraid of life and learned the simplest, but important things: consider money, make competent purchases and feel completely socialized. Actually, all the trainings that the “chances” with the guys conduct are carried out, are just designed to increase self -esteem, to develop communicative skills and personal qualities. And Volodya confirms: the program works! Yesterday - hopeless and the feeling of a gone train, today is study at the college of telecommunications and computer science.
Volodya photo: Anton Unitsyn for TDVolodya’s dream is to enter the law enforcement. He sighs that he immediately wanted, but at the first attempt he was not enough points. So the remaining in the college for a year and a half will work out - and it will act right away, the teachers of the “chance” promised to tighten in specialized subjects. “I know that I will become a lawyer,” our hero said goodbye. And it will become, because he does not know how to stand aside. As the charity fund "Arithmetic of Good" does not stand aside, helping hundreds of children from orphanages.
To help the Arithmetic of Good fund, draw up a monthly donation for any feasible amount - let it be 100, 200 or 300 rubles. With your help, the fund will be able to pay for the work of teachers, carry out career guidance trainings and continue to help orphans from Russian regions. Thank you.
