
The Novosibirsk garrison military court at the request of the investigation was sent to the pre-trial detention center of NIIEP Amir Alyamov, Taiga.info told the press service of the court. They added that the decision was made on November 13, but they refused to clarify what it was accused of.
The press service of the Main Military Investigation Department of the IC of the Russian Federation said that they still do not have information about accusations against Alyamov. Representatives of the military prosecutor's office in the Central Military District refused to communicate with the editorial office.
Alyamov was detained on Monday, November 12, said in the press service of NIIEP JSC. They stated that they did not know what the director of the institute is accused of.
Amir Alyamov was born in 1967 in Novosibirsk, graduated from the Novosibirsk Institute of Railway Transport. He worked at the Novosibirsk Khimkocenttrates factory, professionally engaged in hockey, won the silver medals of the Interethnic hockey league championship as part of the Novosibirsk Siberia in 1991. He was the captain of the team in 1994-1995.
In 1998, he headed the department of the Committee on Physical Culture and Sports of the Novosibirsk City Hall. In 2002, he got a job at NIIEP, where he reached the managing director from his post of head of the department. A candidate of economic sciences, married, he has a daughter. In 2016, Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded him the medal of the Order “For Merit to the Fatherland of the II degree”.
In 2017, the prosecutor's office discovered prices for contracts with NIIEP for state defense order. According to investigators, the ex-head of the military representative office overpaid the institute about 190 million rubles.
