The updated Board of Directors was elected at an extraordinary meeting of the insurer's shareholders at the end of October. Instead of Nikolaus Fry, who left the company this summer, Gennady Galperin, Director General of PJSC IC Rosgosstrakh, was included in its composition. In addition, Mikhail Zadornov, President and Chairman of the Management Board of Otkritie Bank, Oksana Staroselskaya, Director of the Retail Risk Analysis Department at Otkritie Bank, Elmira Mamleeva, Vice President of Otkritie Bank, and Veniamin Polyantsev, Member of the Board of Otkritie Bank, were re-elected to the Board of Directors. Chief Auditor of the Bank of Russia Valery Goreglyad, former President of the Russian National Reinsurance Company Nikolai Galushin, former Vice President for the CIS of Allianz SE Oleg Pyatakov, Chairman of the Life Insurance Committee of the All-Russian Union of Insurers Maxim Chernin.
Mikhail Zadornov has been the head of the Board of Directors of the country's oldest insurance company since November 2017. Under his leadership, the Rosgosstrakh Development Strategy until 2021 was developed - by its centennial anniversary, the company intends to return to the leading positions in the retail segment of the Russian insurance market and strengthen itself among the significant players in the corporate segment. In two years, Rosgosstrakh managed to return to the growth trajectory and demonstrate a stable positive financial result. According to OSBU data, the company's net profit for 9 months of 2019 amounted to 7.3 billion rubles, which is 35% more than the same period last year.
