NFL player suspended for the rest of the season for hitting an opponent in the head with his own helmet (VIDEO)

At the end of the regular season NFL meeting between the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers, which ended with a score of 21:7 in favor of the home team, a brawl broke out between the players, which escalated into a mass brawl.

The conflict broke out after Cleveland quarterback Myles Garrett attacked Pittsburgh quarterback Mason Rudolph. During the showdown, Garrett tore off Rudolph's helmet and hit him on the head with it. After this, the Pittsburgh players began beating Garrett with renewed energy.

The NFL promptly suspended Garrett indefinitely. Miles will definitely miss the remainder of the regular season and all playoff games. At the moment, it is unknown when the disqualification will be lifted from the instigator of the fight.

Garrett has already issued a statement apologizing to Rudolph and his teammates for his behavior. Both clubs were fined $250,000 by the league for the mass brawl.
