Blagoveshchensk: College security guard, where the student fired, was arrested

The Blagoveshchensk City Court arrested the security guard of the private security company Sirius-a Oleg Ermolov for two months. He was in the Amur College of Construction and Housing and Communal Services, when the student fired, RIA Novosti said .

Ermolov will be in custody until January 14, 2020. He is accused under the article "The provision of services that do not meet security requirements that entailed by negligence the death of two or more persons."

Ermolov previously judged for a particularly serious crime, he has two young children. His lawyer informed in court that he needed to conduct heart surgery.

"I do not consider myself guilty, I did everything in my power, brought people out, called the Ministry of Emergencies. I am not in fact not a guard, I have no certificate," Yermolov said in the courtroom.

According to the investigation, the student carried the gun past the guard in the backpack and charged him in the toilet. The head of the Russian Guard in the Amur Region, Yuri Shishlenin, reported that Ermolov was undergoing a temporary document, he had no category of security activities, was not properly issued.

On November 16, the court arrested for two months the general director of the private security company Sirius-A Sergey Andryushchenko. He is accused under the same article as Ermolov. According to investigators, the director of the security company allowed an employee who did not have permission for security activities to protect the college building.

• On November 14, a fourth-year student of the Amur College of Construction and Housing and Communal Services arranged shooting from a gun in an educational institution. He killed one student, wounded three and committed suicide. According to preliminary data, the cause of the incident was a conflict between peers. After shooting at the college, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on the failure to defend proper security, negligence against officials of the educational institution and the murder of two or more persons against the student who arranged firing.

UPD. On November 19, the defense filed a complaint against the arrest of the general director of the security company Sirius-a Sergey Andryushchenko. The Amur Regional Court should consider appeal to the chosen measure of restraint in 10-14 days.
