Awarded the "Educator" Award

On November 21, the Moscow Theater “The School of Modern Play” hosted the Awards “Educator” ceremony for the best popular science book in Russian and the Enlightener.Digital prize for the best educational online project.

According to the website of the Enlightener Award , for the first time in the history of the award the award ceremony was broadcast online on the Rain television channel and on the main page of Snob . ru .

In the nomination “Natural and exact sciences”, Peter Talents became the laureate, he was awarded for the book “0.05. Evidence medicine. From magic to a search for immortality ”(M.: AST: Corpus , 2019).

In the nomination "Humanitarian Sciences" , Elena Osokina received the prize for the book "Alchemy of Soviet Industrialization. Torgsin time ”(M.: UFO, 2019).

The special prize "Informat" was awarded to the book of Yuri Slovkin, "House of Government. Saga about the Russian Revolution ” (AST: Corpus , 2019).

Special jury of the Prize "Enlightener. Digital ”chose laureates in the categories“ Sound ”,“ Text ”and“ Video ”. They were the Arzamas Children's Room project, The Batrachospermum Magazine and the Arthur Sharifov channel, the Player of the Basic Video .

The Grand Prix was awarded to the Ostarbaiters project, a project of Leonid Parfenon’s project “Parfenon” was awarded with a special prize “For a contribution to digital culture”.

In 2019, each finalist of the Book Prize received a prize of 100 thousand rubles, and the winners of both awards - 700 thousand rubles.

Since 2020, the Enlightener Prize introduces another nomination-Enlightener. Transportation, which is dedicated to translated science books.

The Enlightener Award for the best popular science book in Russian was established in 2008 by the founder of Vimpelcom Dmitry Zimin and the Fund for Non-Profit Dynasty programs. Since 2016, the prize has been awarded with the support of Zimin Foundation .

The purpose of the award is to attract the attention of readers to the educational genre, encourage authors and create prerequisites for expanding the educational literature market in Russia.
